Intradiem Extends Culture of Service in the Eighth Serve@Work Program

Intraday automation solutions provider supports local homeless shelter

ATLANTA (November 4, 2014) – Intradiem, the leading provider of intraday automation solutions, is gearing up for High Tech Ministries’ 2014 Fall Serve@Work program with a series of projects at 7 Bridges to Recovery, a local shelter for women and children, on November 6-8, 2014.

The projects, located at the 7 Bridges to Recovery facility in Smyrna, GA, will include building a walking trail for the residents, constructing a shed, leading activities for children, making a bike rack, working on general landscaping, and helping resident children with homework.

“Community service is an important part of our culture. With Serve@Work, we can offer everyone an opportunity to work with other high-tech professionals and give back to the community — no matter what their skill level,” said Matt McConnell, Intradiem’s CEO. “Through Serve@Work, there is something for everyone. We have jobs for the highly skilled as well as those who just want to be a part of the experience.”

This marks Intradiem’s eighth Serve@Work project. Over the course of three days, Intradiem employees will work with more than 120 volunteers from eight other Atlanta area technology companies to complete the projects.

The 7 Bridges to Recovery facility is home to more than 100 women and children who have been rescued from homelessness and other dire situations. Residents are allowed to stay as long as they need and are not charged rent. Meals are served three times a day, every day of the week, with 100 percent of the supplies donated by individuals, local businesses and other groups.

High Tech Ministries chose 7 Bridges to Recovery for its fall project because of the organization’s grassroots approach and its immediate needs.

Intradiem’s community service program is central to its corporate culture and fulfills the company’s purpose to help other organizations have an impact in their business operations and the community. Intradiem provides its employees five days, or 40 hours, of paid time off each year to volunteer with an organization of their choice.

“Restoring our neighborhood communities exemplifies the same ‘serve others before we serve ourselves’ commitment we extend to servicing our customers,” said McConnell. “We find it to be extremely valuable to provide employees with a way to serve organizations that matter most to them. We believe in 7 Bridges to Recovery and their efforts. They do so much with so little, and through Serve@Work we have a way to work together with other technology companies to make a real impact.”
