Intradiem to Support 7 Bridges to Recovery in Spring Serve@Work Program

Intraday automation solutions provider extends its culture of service in the community

ATLANTA (May 6, 2014) – Intradiem, the leading provider of intraday automation solutions, is gearing up for High Tech Ministries’ 2014 Spring Serve@Work program with a series of projects at a local shelter for women and children May 6-8, 2014.

The projects, located at the 7 Bridges to Recovery facility in Smyrna, GA, will include the installation of a new dining room floor, the construction of new dining room tables, the addition of an overhang and general landscaping, as well as preparing meals for residents, craft projects and helping resident children with homework.

“We want to provide a wide range of opportunities to give all of our employee volunteers a chance to be hands-on,” said Matt McConnell, Intradiem’s CEO. “Through Serve@Work, there is something for everyone. We have jobs for the highly skilled as well as those who just want to be a part of the experience.”

This marks Intradiem’s sixth Serve@Work project. Over the course of three days, Intradiem employees will work with more than 120 volunteers from eight other Atlanta area technology companies to complete the projects.

The 7 Bridges to Recovery facility is home to more than 100 women and children who have been rescued from homelessness and other dire situations. Residents are allowed to stay as long as they need and are not charged rent. Meals are served three times a day, every day of the week, with 100 percent of the supplies donated by individuals, local businesses and other groups.

High Tech Ministries chose 7 Bridges to Recovery for its spring project because of the organization’s grassroots approach and its immediate needs.

Intradiem’s community service program is central to its corporate culture and fulfills the company’s purpose to help other organizations have an impact in their business operations and the community. Intradiem provides its employees five days, or 40 hours, of paid time off to volunteer with an organization of their choice each year.

“We have a service culture at Intradiem that extends to how we serve our own customers,” said McConnell. “It’s important to us to provide our employees with a way to give back to the causes and organizations that matter most to them in their communities. We believe in 7 Bridges to Recovery and their efforts. They do so much with so little and through Serve@Work we have a way to work together with other technology companies to make a real impact.”
